I made it through my first two days of work! Between Sunday and Monday I worked a total of 12 hours and I did rather well considering I haven’t worked in a long time. I haven’t had a job where I had to be on my feet for 11 years so this definitely is a change. I have always enjoyed the grocery business and if it weren’t for my health, I would have probably retired in the business eventually.
I used to manage a small grocery store but I don’t want those headaches anymore. I just want to work a few hours to give me something to do and to help me stay a little active. I know I can only work a few hours a week but for me it is perfect. Not too much to ruin my health, but not too little either.
I was extremely tired both Sunday night and Monday afternoon but I find when I am working I tend to get more done. That may sound odd but it’s true. I hope my health holds out and allows me to continue!

When I was working I got more done too. Work seems to expand to fill whatever time is available. With less time to get stuff done outside of work we’re more efficient with what we have to do. You’ve probably heard the saying, “If you want something done, give it to a busy person”.
