  1. Wow. You are so right. I have used some of your advice and really look forward to reading more of your posts.

  2. Ugh, it just killed me when I heard that. That model is a size 8-10; gorgeous girl, not even that curvy, and they keep calling her a ‘plus-size’ model. I *thought* ‘plus sizes’ started at size 14! But in modeling world, if you’re anything over a 6, you’re overweight apparently. In the modeling world ‘normal’ size is 0-2.

    It’s so skewed and disgusting.

i think its really good that you two talked about it. By saying 8 is plus size girls that are a size eight will now get the wrong idea and think they are over weight(they are realllly not) and then they will try and loose weight witch may lead to anorexia and bolimia.
so really this industry or these people whp are claiming this are risking the lives of young women.
it pushes down peoples self esteem.
the thing though is that if 60% of the population is over a size 6 ish then why is normal 0-4

    It’s ridiculous, absolutely ridiculous.

  5. I’m 16 years old and am about a 10 or 11 size in pants.
So reading trash like this just pisses me off.
    really!
I am a teenage girl already trying to be the best me i can in life and when i read articles like this, i just shake my head and wonder WHY people try to put labels on others.
I can say right now that i may be a size ten or eleven, but i am sure as heck a lot helthier than a most of the stick-thin girls in my P.E. class!
I can endure better and am able to do more curl-ups, push-ups, etc.!
So putting it out there that a size 8 is ‘PLUS-SIZE’ is just rediculous!
I can’t believe that the media would try to twist our minds into thinking that being a size eight is ‘plus-sized’! Especially when there’s already enough pressure out there for teenage girls to feel comfortable in the skin they’re in!
I think someone should come out with a magazine for us (’bigger’,as society would tell us) normal teenage girls. This nonsense might just be put to an end,and that person could save SO MANY girls from having weight issues and later end up having things like bulimia, anorexia, or even going as far as suicide!

Sometimes you just need to let things like this go , because it’s shows and comments like this that make people depressed :/
It’s sad that in America the most obese country in the world that people think a size 8 is overweight or “Plus Size”
makes me sick to my size 7 plus size stomach :)
Be proud of what you are and don’t let others negativity bother you, if you are happy with yourself then thats all that matters.

  11. Laura

This is just ridiculous, these people should be ashamed of themselves! Labeling people just like that! Propagandizing anorexia and other eating diseases!
