Beef Ragu w/Beans

This Crockpot recipe makes 12 cups. 

BEEF RAGU W/BEANS

  • 2 large carrots, peeled and coarsely chopped
  • 2 large ribs celery, coarsely chopped
  • 1 large onion, coarsely chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, peeled
  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 2 cans (14 1/2 oz. each) diced tomatoes
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 3 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 can (15 1/2 oz.) cannellini beans, drained, rinsed
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons dried Italian seasoning
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes

For Serving:

  • 1 pound rigatoni, cooked
  • Grated Parmesan cheese, optional

Vanilla-Cinnamon Cocoa

Here is another great slow cooker recipe - for Cocoa!  This recipe will keep you warm!

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 3 1/2 cups nonfat dry milk
  • 6 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • marshmallows
  • ground cinnamon (optional)

Choucroute Garni

This is an easy Crockpot recipe using Kielbasa & pork chops.  My family loves Kielbasa and I think you will enjoy this recipe too!

CHOUCROUTE GARNI

  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3 large potatoes peeled and thinly sliced
  • 4 large boneless pork chops
  • 1/2 pound light kielbasa, sliced
  • 2 tart apples, peeled, cored, sliced
  • 2 cans (14 1/2 oz.) sauerkraut, undrained
  • 1/2 cup slightly sweet white wine (Riesling)
  • 1 package, 10 oz., frozen green peas, thawed

Pork Roast with Peach Sauce

Pork Roast with Peach Sauce

  • 1 boneless pork loin roast (3 pounds) tied
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 can (15 oz.) sliced peaches in heavy syrup
  • 1/2 cup chili sauce
  • 1/3 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water
  • cooked egg noodles, optional

Asian Pepper Steak

This tasty steak dish makes a total of 6 servings and only takes 15 minutes prep. time.  I am a slow cooker junkie, so if you are like me and like to use your slow cooker a lot, this is a great recipe for you! 

  • 2 lbs. round steak, cut against the grain into 3/4 inch slices
  • 3 large red or green peppers, trimmed, seeded and cut into 3/4 inch slices
  • 2 large onions, halved and cut into 1/2 inch pieces
  • 1 can, 14 1/2 oz., stewed tomatoes, drained
  • 3 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/4 cup lt. soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 can bamboo shoots, drained (8 oz.)
  • 3 cups cooked white rice, prepared from 1 cup raw
