The tax season has arrived again.  This time of year seems to come quickly.  When a lot of people think of doing their taxes, they get very stressed.  It doesn’t have to be that way, though.  You also don’t have to spend a lot to get your taxes done.  There are several good tax programs that offer step-by-step instructions that even a novice could use.

Depending on what type of tax filer you are, will determine the type of software you may need.  If you are a:

More Christmas Shopping Today!

November 9th, 2007 by admin

I like to get my Christmas shopping done early and today I just about finished it up!  I still have my husband to buy, my dad and mother-in-law and son-in-law and then I am done!  I either get my shopping done online or in the stores as long as it is still early in the shopping season.  Nothing irritates me more than trying to shop when there are a bunch of rude people pushing and shoving their way through the aisles.  Christmas brings out the worst in some people!

I bought my son today the PlayStation 2 High School Musical Karoke game.  It has all of the songs from High School Musical 1 & 2 so he will be super excited!  I can’t wait to see his face on Christmas morning!

Fun At Toys R Us!

November 6th, 2007 by admin

I went and did all of my kid’s Christmas shopping this morning at Toys R Us!  I had some coupons, gift cards and other great deals so I made out pretty good.

This year we got our son PlayStation 2 for Christmas.  He is going to be so excited Christmas morning when he opens that up!  He has been wanting a PlayStation 2 system for a long time now so I’m glad we were able to do it for him this year.

Fighting Fatigue Store On Amazon

I have a Fighting Fatigue Store on Amazon.com for anyone who is interested.  I have put on my store tons of books on Chronic Fatuge Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, and Interstitial Cystitis.

I have had Chronic Fatigue Syndrome for close to 20 years now and I am an avid researcher, reader and advocate for this devestating illness.

To make donations for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome research, you can click here to go to the CFIDS.org website.

Disney Pixar Cars - Still Popular!

August 7th, 2007 by admin

I think everyone remembers the Disney Pixar Cars movie that was out last summer and how popular it became.  The Disney Pixar Cars by Mattel have also been very popular, as the prices on the secondary market have went through the roof on some of them!

Cars that retail for $3.50 at your local Walmart or other retail store are selling on at toy shows and on Ebay for upwards of $20.00 for the hard to find Cars, like Yeti.

Another “wave” is set to come out with more single diecast cars and double packs.  I’m not sure if the double packs this time will be the “Movie Moments” series or not.  Right now a lot of the upcoming names and details on the cars are purely speculation, but one thing you can depend on is that each series will remain hot items for kids and grown ups!

Tips For Outlet Shopping

July 20th, 2007 by admin

If you are planning on waiting until August to do your back to school shopping at the outlets, you might want to reconsider.  Outlet stores operate on earlier delivery schedules than other stores for fall shipments, so you can do your outlet shopping in July.

Here are some great deal-finding tips for outlet shopping:

  • Do Your Homework.  You can usually find printable coupons online for outlet centers so make sure you check your favorite outlet store’s website before you go shopping.
  • Shop Upscale.  Don’t be frightened away by fancy names, as big discounts can be found at the high-end outlet stores.
  • Check Labels.  Most outlest carry goods labeled "factory store" or "irregular".  "Factory Store" quality are lower quality clothing pieces made for outlets.  "Irregular" quality are intended for the full-price stores but are kept off the shelves because they have a small flaw.  Irregular items are of higher quality usually.

Disney Pixar Cars

May 30th, 2007 by admin

When the Disney Pixar Cars movie came out, my son just HAD to see it.  So I took him, it was fun and when the movie came out on DVD we got that too.  Then they came out with the diecast 1:55 cars.  As my husband and I are toy collectors, and our son was in love with the movie, we decided to start him his first real collection.

After many attempts at retail stores and toy shows, we finally managed to get every single pack car, the double packs Movie Moments and even the triple packs.

Now what do they do?  They come out with yet another series!  So now we are starting all over again!  It’s fun but it gets frustrating too.  Especially when there are people who are hogs about it and the poor kids who really want them can’t get them because people are scrounging them up to sell on Ebay.

We went today and found some more at Walmart.  The man there was nice enough to let me look through a new shipment so we now have 8 of the new wave!  Yeah!

Barbie Pairs With Elmo!

January 19th, 2007 by admin

The Barbie Loves T.M.X. Elmo Doll has been very popular and has sold out in most stores, except for Amazon.com (see link below).  What a pair to team up together!  I was at a huge toy show over the weekend and saw this doll going for some big bucks!

If you like Barbie and Elmo, this is a buy for you.  You can tickle Elmo’s tummy and he giggles - real cute.  Fortunately, Amazon.com still has these available.
