Jordin Sparks, the Season 6 winner of American Idol, released her first CD in November 2007. The album sales were off to a slow start though due to it being released right around Black Friday. The last I had read, Jordin’s self-tited CD had sold around 500,000 copies. There have been mixed reviews on the album as well.
Jordin has a great voice and definitely deserved to be the winner of American Idol. Hopefully things will turn around for her and sales will pick up!
My husband and I go to Lancaster, PA twice a year usually to see the American Music Theatre musical productions.
We both love, love, love music and because I was in a singing and dancing group in high school, I can really appreciate all of the hard work that goes into these types of productions.
The piano player they have is truly amazing. This weekend’s show was called "My Generation - Music from the 60s and 70s". He received two standing ovations on his solos that he played.
The singers and dancers are all very talented, have college degrees in singing, dancing and theatrical. If you live near Lancaster, PA you have to go check out their shows. The Christmas Show will begin November 1st and runs through December 30th.
Who would have ever thought the duet from Reba McEntire and Kelly Clarkson would have ever happened? Two totally different styles, but together they have made Kelly Clarkson’s hit song, Because of You, a chart climber in country music.
Because of You has climbed again from #17 to #15 on the charts!
I am a big, big Reba fan and my son is a big Kelly Clarkson fan so we are both loving their duet!

Sunday night my son and I had to watch CMT Crossroads. Reba McEntire, one of my favorite singers and actresses, and Kelly Clarkson, my son’s favorite singer, were on the show together.
It was so good and it was amazing to see two totally different singing styles joined together - and they sounded very good.
They take turns singing each other’s songs, harmonizing beautifully at the Ryman Auditorium. CMT Crossroads with Reba and Kelly will be on again tonight at 6:00 p.m. EST on CMT. Make sure you tune in!
My little guy is a huge Maroon 5 fan! I have heard Makes Me Wonder so many times, I’m singing it in my sleep!
This month on Music Choice Maroon 5 is the artist of the month, so most of their videos are available. Needless to say, I can recite Marron 5 songs backwards and forwards!
