Work Still Slow For IZEA Bloggers

December 18th, 2007 by admin

Paid blogging work has come to a screeching halt for many of us who blog for IZEA.  I spoke to one blogger (that wishes to remain anonymous) who was previously making between $600 - $800 a month before the Google smackdown hit.  In the past two to three weeks since this blogger’s page ranks were updated in the IZEA system, the pay hasn’t even reached $200.

A lot of bloggers have taken a huge hit and some are looking for other blogging opportunities, writing work and even jobs outside the home to make up for their lost income.

The anonymous IZEA blogger had this to say:

“I have depended on the money I was making from Payperpost or IZEA to pay for the bills my spouse’s paychecks don’t cover. This income loss has affected our family greatly, especially with the holidays here. I have been forced to look for a job locally even though I wanted to be able to work from home. Many of the die hard IZEA bloggers are determined to stick it out until this new Real Rank system takes hold with advertisers but I don’t have that luxury to wait around. We need the money now.”

I wonder now if paid posting is quickly going to start dying off. This Google hit is scaring many people away from blogging for money.

Google PageRank Dips Affects Bloggers

December 6th, 2007 by admin

Google has decided to penalize bloggers who take part in paid to post opportunities with companies such as IZEA(formerly known as Payperpost) by taking away page ranks.  Now many bloggers are in a state of panic because they have depended on their paid blogging for their income.

Some bloggers who utilize paid to post opportunities only use these posts as fill-ins or to earn a little extra money.  But from some of the reading I have been doing, there are those who depend on this money to pay their monthly bills.  That is scary when Google decides to mess with people’s incomes.  What is wrong with someone posting for money?

IZEA requires their independent contractors to have disclosure policies on their sites so that people know when reading the site that they are getting paid to post about certain things.  Most of us who do paid posting put a lot of time and effort into what we do and we do not just randomly write about something that we haven’t done some research on.

Of course, there will always be exceptions to the rule but it is not fair of Google to mess with people’s livelihoods in this way.  IZEA has come up with an alternative to page rank that appears to be starting to catch on for advertisers.  For now, paid ops are low for the majority and IZEA and their posties are hoping things pick up again soon.  This is a heck of a thing to happen right at Christmas time, too.

Blogging Ads

August 10th, 2007 by admin

Another pay to post opportunity on the Internet is Blogging Ads.  What is different about Blogging Ads is that the opportunities available you do not necessarily have to write yourself.

They have some pre-approved blog posts you can put directly on your blog, or if you choose, you can write your own post and meet certain requirements Blogging Ads stipulates.

You have to have a Paypal account because that is the only method of payment available.  Your blog or blogs have to be approved and they have to be cached in Google before being approved.

Blogging - For Fun or For Profit?

June 14th, 2007 by admin

Blogging has become very popular and having a blog these days is like having a cell phone - almost everyone has one.  If you don’t have one, then you are "behind the times".

Along with the popularity of blogging comes even more ways to earn money online.

There has been some controversary over people who blog for money.  What’s the big deal?  For most of the paid to post companies, bloggers are required to disclose if they are making money through blogging.

Many bloggers who are serious about making money and who are serious about the appearance of their blogs have found a way to only choose posts that they can personally relate to.

I would like to hear what others think of blogging for profit.

Pay Per Post is a hot opportunity for bloggers to earn money.  With Pay Per Post, you earn money by writing reviews for advertisers’ products and/or services.  It’s not hard and you can earn $5 and up for each post that you submit.

I really like it.  They are going through a lot of changes right now to make things better for bloggers and advertisers, but they are getting the kinks worked out and hubby has earned over $325 with them so far!

In order to have your blog accepted by Pay Per Post, it has to be at least 90 days old with a minimum of 20 posts.  You can click on my banner on the right in my sidebar to find out more information!

Making Money with PayPerPost

February 15th, 2007 by admin

There are legitimate ways to earn money online.  My husband and I have been working with PayPerPost for a few months now and it has been fun to make money blogging for them.  PayPerPost is a company who pays bloggers to advertise for their customers.  There are no tricks, gimmicks, or scams.  Just have a blog that qualifies and choose what you want to write about from the opportunities they have available.

PayPerPost has started a new segmentation program where posting opportunities are available for the high-ranking bloggers and the little guy.  The higher rank your blog is, the more money you will make.  It takes some time to get there, but by working on your blog consistently and building your traffic, it all comes together.  I have been blogging now for a year and my first blog, and this one, are doing very well.

PayPerPost’s markup to their advertisers compared to other paid-to-blog opportunities is very good.  PayPerPost only charges a 35% markup fee compared to 100% for some of the other blogging services.  PayPerPost also requires all bloggers to disclose that their posts are sponsored posts so that everything is on the up and up.  They have been awesome to work with!

It’s easy to get started.  Just click on the PayPerPost banner below!

Blogsvertise

Blogsvertise is another avenue of earning extra income through your blog.  With Blogsvertise, their advertisers want bloggers to write about their products, services, websites, etc.

What I really like about Blogsvertise is that it is fairly easy to get accepted and you don’t have a minimum number of words to write.  The only thing they ask is that you include at least three links from your offer.  That’s it!

Blogsvertise pays via Paypal every 30 days.

Blogitive

Blogitive is a paid-to-post opportunity for bloggers. Blogitive is a way for bloggers to earn extra income by doing what they do best, blogging. When using Blogitive the process is simple, login to the Blogitive system, review the offers available to you, accept the offer you want and blog.

Opportunities include Cost Per Posting Advertising and coming soon we will have Ghost Blogging, Paid RSS through NewsNerve, and comment moderation. Blogitive is the first real marketplace for bloggers.

The down side with Blogitive is you never know when there are going to be offers available, so you have to continuously check throughout the day to see if you have anything to choose from.  But they do pay on a weekly basis and I have always received payment.  They only approve blogs from certain blog hosts, so be aware of that.  Overall, I like typing for Blogitive.  You can click here to fill out the information to have your blog reviewed for approval.
