If you are trying to learn how to deal with illnesses such as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, Interstitial Cystitis and other misunderstood chronic illnesses, then you need to visit my Fighting Fatigue website.
If you have just been recently diagnosed with these illnesses and wonder what all of the terminology surrounding the illnesses means, you can visit my Learn the Lingo website. This site is strictly dedicated to providing words and phrases commonly used by CFS and Fibromyalgia sufferers, researchers and the medical community.
I have been sick for many years with these illnesses and I have come forward with a lot of personal information about my own struggles and want to help support others as well.

One of my favorite movies of all time has been on television a lot lately - Pretty Woman with Richard Gere and Julia Roberts. This is the movie that really put Julia Roberts on the map as an actress.
It was on television today on Lifetime and I had to watch it - again. I have probably seen this great movie 20 times, but I never tire of it. It’s just one of those feel good movies that makes me really happy.
If you don’t own this movie on DVD or VHS, you need to get it! I can’t believe the movie is 17 years old!
I am currently going through a skin cancer scare and my appointment with the dermatologist to find out if I do indeed have skin cancer (melanoma in particular) keeps being rescheduled. So my stress levels continue to increase. As someone who thoroughly researchs everything under the sun, I have come across some blogs of women who have died from malignant melanoma, the deadliest form of skin cancer out there.
This has really made me open my eyes to see that skin cancer is very, very serious - and very deadly. I admit that I have never been one to pay attention to using sunscreen as often as I should, even though I burn terribly, blister and have developed sun poison a few times in my life. You always think that it could never happen to you. I still don’t know if it has happened to me or not, but reading these blogs has made me shape up. I won’t go out of the house, or let my son out of the house anymore without SPF 50.
You need to read the stories of these courageous women and what they went through. It’s a shame they are not here today to continue to raise awareness, but their blogs are. And their stories reached out to me loud and clear:

Last night I watched America’s Got Talent. I never really got into this show too much before, but I wasn’t feeling well last night and there wasn’t anything else on so I figured what the heck.
It kind of reminds me of an updated version of the Gong Show. Some of the acts were good but there were a few I couldn’t figure out how they made it to the top 20.
I guess America is seeing something I’m not! I think it is neat though that you can vote online. I think American Idol needs to use that method: allow people to vote both by phone and over the net.
As if having a show like “Rock of Love” isn’t enough (see previous post), VH1 now also has a show about Scott Baio so uncleverly titled, “Scott Baio Is 45 and Single“. He’s trying to figure out why he has never been able to commit to a woman and I guess the cash was too good to pass up so he decided to make a reality series about it.
I can tell him in two seconds why he can’t commit and be faithful to a woman and I won’t charge him a penny. I’m sure the life coach he hired to straighten out his butt is getting a hefty chunk for her part in his (*snort) therapy.
I did find out something interesting though by watching the first show. Scott Baio lost his virginity to Erin Moran - Joanie from Happy Days. That part of the show was interesting but besides that - nah. Just another bad VH1 night.
If you haven’t seen the new VH1 reality series with Bret Michaels called "Rock of Love", you aren’t missing much unless you like to see a group of slutty, drunk, hard-looking women makes fools of themselves for a 40-something former rocker of Poison.
What I find oddly gross is that he is kissing all over all of these women, and they just all seem to continue to want to stick their tongues down his throat. That is just gross to me. Lord only knows where some of these women have been and I would not want to kiss someone after some of them have. Yuck.
These reality shows on VH1 are just getting totally ridiculous. First it was Flavor of Love with Flavor Flav, then it was My Fair Brady, some other stupid shows in between, and now this one. It is amazing what some people will do to get on television.

If you are planning on waiting until August to do your back to school shopping at the outlets, you might want to reconsider. Outlet stores operate on earlier delivery schedules than other stores for fall shipments, so you can do your outlet shopping in July.
Here are some great deal-finding tips for outlet shopping:
- Do Your Homework. You can usually find printable coupons online for outlet centers so make sure you check your favorite outlet store’s website before you go shopping.
- Shop Upscale. Don’t be frightened away by fancy names, as big discounts can be found at the high-end outlet stores.
- Check Labels. Most outlest carry goods labeled "factory store" or "irregular". "Factory Store" quality are lower quality clothing pieces made for outlets. "Irregular" quality are intended for the full-price stores but are kept off the shelves because they have a small flaw. Irregular items are of higher quality usually.
On Lifetime this afternoon, the movie Life With Judy Garland - Me & My Shadows was on, starring Judy Davis as Judy Garland. I am a big biography nut so I love to watch any movies or read books on famous people’s lives.
It is just one of those things that has always intrigued me. Judy Garland was 47 when she died, which was young, but her years of prescription drug abuse and drinking really took a toll on her and I thought she looked older than that.
Her poor kids sure went through a lot. Her youngest daughter ended up having a nervous breakdown because at the young age of 14 she had to care for her mother and be a mother to her brother. Very sad story.
