Son Returned to Mother After Being Gone 2 Years

November 21st, 2007 by admin

A son was reunited with his mother in Los Angeles this week after having been missing for 2 years. The boy’s father had abducted him and they were living in Mexico. With no luck, law enforcement had been searching for the boy all of the time. Out of the blue the boy’s father called the mother, saying that he was very ill and could no longer care for the boy. The boy hardly remembers his mother. What a bittersweet moment for this mother. Imagine your child being returned after having been missing for so long, but then your child not remembering who you are. A warrant is still out for the father.

Boycott Against Google?

November 19th, 2007 by admin

There has been a lot of talk on the Internet over the past week about many unhappy bloggers threatening to boycot Google and all of their services.  Google has started penalizing certain bloggers who utililze IZEA (formerly known as Payperpost) on their sites.  IZEA is a company who has given over 60,000 bloggers the opportunity to earn money through blogging by writing sponsored posts.

Obviously Google is not happy with this and most IZEA bloggers have seen their page ranks drop to a big fat zero.   That’s right - people who formerly had blogs with a page rank of 4 or better may now have nothing but a big fat goose egg.

No one knows for sure the real reason Google is penalizing paid-to-post bloggers but it is the general consensus among posties that Google is losing out on revenue since IZEA/Payperpost became so popular.

Many posties have decided to take Adsense off their sites and to quit using all other Google services.  IZEA is introducing a new ranking system tomorrow for posties since Google took away page ranks from them.  Real Rank will determine a blog’s standings based real information - traffic, links, etc.

Marie Osmond’s Son Enters Rehab

November 15th, 2007 by admin

Marie Osmond’s 16-year-old son has been admitted to rehab but it has not been disclosed exactly what he is in rehab for.  Marie and her family have been through a lot over the years.  I believe Marie has been through two or three divorces, postpardum depression, among many other things.  She always bounces back and I really admire her.  I love to watch Marie Osmond when she is on QVC with her dolls.  She is very funny and has such a loving spirit.

I pray for the best for her and her family.

Facebook Launching System For Businesses?

November 9th, 2007 by admin

I read an online article that was talking about Facebook, the popular social networking site, expanding their system.  They are apparently going to allow businesses to sign up and create their own page and then reach out to potential customers based on the interests they have described in their profiles.

A Facebook representative said:

"If those interests include not seeing advertising, that is too bad. "There is no opting out of advertising," Zuckerberg said….""The ads are going to feel like content to a lot of people."

So I hope this does not mean that people with Facebook accounts will be spammed with unwanted invites and such.  If so, I am sure Facebook will lose a lot of  people.

More Christmas Shopping Today!

November 9th, 2007 by admin

I like to get my Christmas shopping done early and today I just about finished it up!  I still have my husband to buy, my dad and mother-in-law and son-in-law and then I am done!  I either get my shopping done online or in the stores as long as it is still early in the shopping season.  Nothing irritates me more than trying to shop when there are a bunch of rude people pushing and shoving their way through the aisles.  Christmas brings out the worst in some people!

I bought my son today the PlayStation 2 High School Musical Karoke game.  It has all of the songs from High School Musical 1 & 2 so he will be super excited!  I can’t wait to see his face on Christmas morning!

Recall on Aqua Dots

November 9th, 2007 by admin

This is a scary story. A recall has been made on the new Aqua Dots toy that is out for kids. Apparently the dots are made from a chemical that is in the date rape drug and my husband read in the paper that kids have been going in a coma because of this. I had purchased this for my son for Christmas. It will be going back to Toys R Us this weekend.

Earn Money Through Cash Crate

November 8th, 2007 by admin

I joined Cash Crate recently and I have made money just by signing up for the free ads that are on there!  You can earn money either through signing up for free ads, signing up for paid ads, and for referring others.  I haven’t taken advantage of many of the offers yet because I was busy with other projects, but today I am starting to work heavily on Cash Crate.  I will post back with my results!
