Thanks to Kathleen at the Easing Chronic Pain blog, I found out that September is National Pain Awareness Month. You can go to theAlliance of State Initiatives website to see if your state is taking a part in pain awareness. Pennsylvania isn’t. I guess I’ll have to do something about that for next year!
Over 75 million Americans suffer from pain and the majority of these people do not receive the appropriate care. That is so sad.
The Power Over Pain Action Network is a newer group of volunteers who have come together to raise awareness, funds and support for people with pain-related diseases and illnesses.
