My aunt taught me how to crochet when I was very young. I can still remember the challenge oh so well! I am left-handed and she is right-handed, so this made learning to crochet even harder.
She would work with me and work with me until we would both end up in tears. But neither one of us gave up and I did learn how to crochet!
I know there are a lot of chronically ill people out there bored to tears because they can’t figure out what to get into. Crocheting is a nice hobby and it passes the time. I will go for a long time period without crocheting, then I get the urge and start going to town on an afghan.
If you don’t know how to crochet, check out your local A.C. Moore or Michaels store for classes. The classes are inexpensive and it will get you out of the house. You can also learn how to crochet online. There are some e-books available that teach crochet.

Great suggestion. I knit and found that when I’m having a bad day knitting might be the only thing I can actually focus on for any amount of time. It’s definitely better than sitting around thinking about how much I can’t do when I hurt.
