The effectiveness of foot reflexology in the management of chronic pain has been the focus of varied research, but more specific study is needed to document its affect on sleep disorders and pain as it relates to the fibromyalgia population.
National reflexology educator and holistic health facilitator Linda Chollar has taught the discipline of reflexology to health professionals in hospitals, hospice, wellness centers and nursing colleges. In private practice, she provides complementary approaches to wellness for clients with chronic pain conditions. Chollar has logged results with fibromyalgia clients over the past ten years. Her mission is to encourage more clinical research in reflexology to advise the FM community about the effectiveness of this integrative modality. Find her on the web at www.PainFreePath.com.
Pain Free Path Wellness Programs is sponsoring Chollar to facilitate an independent study and is seeking qualified participants to volunteer for foot reflexology treatments twice a week for four weeks. To participate in the study, you must have a physician’s diagnosis of fibromyalgia and be willing to receive foot reflexology treatments at a private office in Redondo Beach, CA. Included in the study is a qualification questionnaire via email.
