I am a worry wart and it’s probably nothing but I would just feel better if I called the doctor tomorrow. Tonight was the second time in the past few weeks that my son has thrown up at the dinner table while eating. He says that he “chokes” on the food. The first time it happened I had made tuna casserole and he threw up at the table. But right after he wanted something else to eat. Tonight we were at my mom’s house for dinner and my husband told him he needed to eat a few of his peas. He said that he couldn’t they made him “choke”. My husband just thought that he was trying to get out of eating them so he made him eat one bite. Well, he threw up all over the table right in the middle of dinner. He doesn’t look like he is choking or anything or even gagging.
I also noticed several times over the past few months that he has trouble swallowing some stuff when he is eating and he will cough and choke. I’m going to call the doctor in the morning just to be on the safe side but I am hoping that it is just that he is not chewing up his food properly.
Last night we had broccoli for dinner and I had to cut it up really small for him because he choked again but he didn’t throw up.
I guess I am mainly concerned about this now because we never had this problem before. It has just been recently. He never had problems eating stuff any other time.
