The National Institute of Health announced that they will be funding seven new grants and studies for CFIDS. The studies will be conducted on related interactions between the immune system and neurological systems in hopes of identifying new diagnostic markers and treatments for CFIDS.
The awards are made following a special Request for Applications issued in July 2005 to stimulate interest in CFS research. The investigators and projects are described in an October 30, 2006 press release from the Office of Research on Women’s Health.
