Back years ago, before I became ill, I could remember everything. My family called me a “walking telephone book” because I could hear someone’s phone number one time and it would be forever locked in my memory. Now I’m lucky if I can remember my OWN telephone number!
Not only has my short-term memory been affected dramatically by the CFS and Fibromyalgia but my long-term memory is shot as well.
I can’t remember details about trips my husband and I have taken and other details of outings, trips, etc. that I have done with other family members.
My family will be like, “Do you remember when………?” And I am always saying, “No, I don’t remember that. What did I say? What did I do?”
I need to research some memory tricks to help improve my memory and maybe even restore some of what I’ve lost.
