The American Chronic Pain Association, American Pain Foundation and National Pain Foundation announced in May that in recognition of Fibromyalgia Awareness Day and the support they provide to millions of people affected by chronic pain conditions like Fibromyalgia, Pfizer is providing a charitable donation to support their educational activities and advocacy efforts.
All us as Fibromyalgia patients have to do is to make a promise, and Pfizer will make a donation, up to $100,000, and will divide it equally among the associations listed above.
The Promise
Just go to the FibroCenter website and read the following promises you wish to make, enter your email address and submit. A donation will be made. Only one donation per email address is allowed.
I promise to learn
as much as I can about Fibromyalgia. I’ll work to stay informed on the latest developments and I’ll never give up seeking new ways to deal with my condition.
I promise to seek the right help
from the right people. I’ll reach out to others instead of letting myself feel alone. I’ll identify my support network so I’ll know who to turn to. I’ll educate them so they’ll understand how to help.
I promise to stay positive
and keep encouraging myself. I won’t blame myself. I won’t judge myself. I’ll work at accepting my limits and staying within them. I’ll focus on the positive influences in my life.
